Electric Field Conduction (EFC) takes advantage of the body’s natural water content to aid signal conduction and produce consistent, reliable stimulation. Traditional radio frequency (RF) stimulation is attenuated by water and sensitive to the depth as well as orientation of the implanted receiver in relation to the signal generator.
EFC allows StimRouter to avoid losses of therapy from intermittent signals that are inherent to traditional stimulation, by using a field of energy to overcome variations in alignment and implant depth that can impact other systems’ performance.
